We are now less than one week away from the biennial Foodservice E&S spectacle known as The NAFEM Show 19. Flights have been booked. Hotel reservations have been made. Now’s the time to plan to make this the best NAFEM Show EVER! Whether you’re a first-time attendee or if you’re a seasoned NAFEM vet, here are 6 tips to help you make the most of your NAFEM experience.
Get Your Badge Early
No one likes waiting in lines. Outsmart the crowd at the Convention Center by picking up your badge ahead of time. Badge pick-up is available in the lobbies of the Rosen Centre, Hilton Orlando, and Hyatt Regency Orlando hotels until Thursday, February 7. If you pre-registered and you’re really feeling ambitious, you can pick up your badge this year at the Orlando International Airport (MCO) in the Baggage Claim areas in Terminals A and B from Tuesday, February 5 through Thursday, February 7.

Hands down, the best pre-planning tool for The NAFEM Show 19 is the official mobile app. Available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play, the app has a full list of Exhibitors, maps of the show floor, a full show schedule, and it can even help you find a restaurant for a nice post-show dinner. You can find the app by searching for “The NAFEM Show 2019” in your app store.
Trade shows present a great opportunity for attendees to expand their knowledge and keep up on the latest trends, and The NAFEM Show is no exception. The NAFEM booth (#1435) features an educational theater with 30-minute presentations covering everything from advocacy updates to the latest E&S trends. Also, on Friday, February 8 and Saturday, February 9, the Exhibit Hall will open at 8:00am for “Training Time.” Any attendee who is a member of CFESA, FCSI, FEDA, or any buying group will have access to take advantage of the special Training Time bonus hour.

This year’s show features four WHAT’S HOT! WHAT’S COOL! What Works! Lounges spread across the show floor (booth #616, 1080, 2816, 3460). 23 total case studies will be on display throughout the four lounges to showcase how these innovative products have helped to make an impact on each operator’s business. You can find our PrepMate MultiStation featured in the WHAT’S HOT! WHAT’S COOL! What Works! Lounge located in booth #616 (cheap plug!). Also, be sure to allocate enough time to explore the Exhibit Hall. With over 600 exhibitors, you’re sure to find something that can help you take your operation to the next level. The NAFEM Show is a great opportunity to network with your peers and to make some new connections. Outside of the show hours there are two major networking events, the Kick-Off Party and the NAFEM Party. The Kick-Off Party is February 6 from 5:30-7:30pm at the Hyatt Regency Orlando. The NAFEM Party is Friday, February 8 from 7:30-11:30pm at the Orange County Convention Center and is highlighted by special performance by 9-time GRAMMY Award winner SHERYL CROW! Unfortunately, if you haven’t got your tickets yet for the NAFEM Party, you’re out of luck as it is now sold out. Tickets for the Kick-Off Party are only $30 and can be purchased through the registration page.
